This smartphone is launched recently and it is launched by the company Salora which are the TV manufacturers. This company is known as a TV manufacturer and have started to create smartphones months ago. This phone is their flagship model the Salora Arya Z3. This is a budget smartphone priced at Rs.6,999. We used this phone for few days and got to know some unique features about this handset. Well so lets start exploring this phone.

Design

Phone looks good. Black color with silver lining looks nice on the phone. The phone has a plastic body and has a thin silver metallic finishing which looks elite. So overall the phone also provides good grip as the back cover has a matte finish. The phone is having a weight of 154 grams. This smartphone has thickness of 8.5mm and is easy to hold in the hand and does provide good grip. The back panel has nice textures.

On the left side of the phone there are volume rocker buttons. On the right hand side of the phone it has a power/lock button. In the bottom there is a mic.

On the top of the phone there is a standard 3.5mm audio jack. This is a dual SIM smartphone and it does support 3G. While exploring, after removing the back panel we can see that there are 2 slots for SIM cards.

One slot is for normal SIM whereas the other is for a micro SIM which is superb feature. There is also a microSD card slot.

Display

The phone has a 5 inch IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels. This accounts to 301.89 PPI. The phone has good viewing angles and decent color reproduction. The display of the phone was quite responsive with smooth touch. It is having 3 sensors light, proximity and accelerometer.

Software – OS

The phone is equipped with the Android Kitkat 4.4.2. The phone might get a software update.

Memory

The phone has a 8GB internal memory and it is having 1 GB RAM. Out of the 8GB the user will get upto 6GB of memory to use. While from the 1GB only 568 MB will be free for multi-tasking. You can install apps on microSD using it as an external memory.

Multimedia

We played Full HD videos on the phone and the performance was lag free. Sound quality of the phone is nice even with high volume. The in call volume quality is clear. Enjoy the songs with a better headphone as it will enhance your music experience. The phone has Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS and Bluetooth. This phone has a unique Cast Screen feature by which the phone`s screen can be shared on a LCD or a LED display like monitor or television sets.

Camera

The phone is able to capture good pictures even in the HDR mode there are a lot of options in the camera mode. The phone has a rear camera of 8MP and a front camera of 2MP.

The phone is having image interpolation feature where in using the rear camera. It is possible to click pictures of 13MP. While the front camera can capture images of upto 5MP.

Overall camera quality was good, especially in the HDR mode. Full HD videos are playable with ease.

Performance

We did a lot of multi tasking on this smartphone. Salora Arya Z3 is a phone which is having 1.4 GHz MT6592 Cortex A7 Octa processor. This phone also has Mali 450MP GPU. The overall performance of the phone was good. We did run an Antutu Benchmark test on this phone. The result was comparatively awesome than the other devices, it achieved a score of 28506.

Gaming

We played the Subway Surfer game on this device. It was a pleasant gaming experience on this device.

Battery

The battery capacity of the phone is 2200mAh. A continuous use of the phone for 4 to 5 hours with heavy usage is possible. One day of normal use is easily possible with this smartphone.

In Box Accessories

The handset, User manual, Warranty Card, Earphone, Data Cable and a charger. The phone is having SAR value mentioned on the box .

Final Verdict

This phone has a good build quality, performance, camera and aesthetic looks. This is a budget smartphone with Octa Core Processor, battery is consumed in a single day of normal use. Unique feature of Normal SIM and a micro SIM slot. Overall a good buy at the price.

SSDs are for the computer which are to be inherited in the CPU or inside the laptop. The advantage of the portable hard disk is that you can store a huge amount of data on this device with ease. Let us talk about all the features of this portable hard disk. Well I will tell you that it is designed well for a lot of purposes and has unique functionality.

Design

The main task of the drive is to store data, right? But what if the device is designed in such a way that it is protected itself and your useful data? It is ruggedised and is made in such a way that it is drop proof according to the military standard 810F Math 516.5 Proc IV Transit Drop. For passing this standard it is believed that the device was dropped 26 times on every face, corner, edge from a height of 122cm or 4feet.

So the first look and feel factor after looking at this device is:

It seemed to be a rough and tough device.

The external dimensions of the device are 129.5 x 82.4 x 20.4 mm. While the drive inside has dimensions 100 x 70 x 7mm. The drive is a bit larger than the regular external portable hard disk. The build quality of the device seems to be superior. There is a triple layer of protection for the drive. The three layers from inside out include Silicon inner holding, hard plastic shell and the rubber coating at the top.

Thought he light blue combination on the hard drive does not look that much aesthetically good. There are other color variant options like the lime green and black which does look premium. The device is a bit heavy and it is having weight of 216g. Its a 2.5 inch SATA HDD.

Performance

This is a 1TB portable hard disk. We used extensively this device for a long time. We cannot compare a portable hard disk with any SSD. We did checked the file transfer speed using a tool. so here are the results.

The sequential read and write speeds recorded were 38.52 MB/s and 38.62 MB/s. We cannot get high file transfer speeds like the SSDs but the file transfer speed was pretty good as compared to the other portable hard disks. This is a very good speed for sure. Also there is a button on the hard disk which creates a backup of the valuable data.

With the device there is a software which helps to keep a backup of your valuable data on the portable hard disk.

Final Verdict

This is one of the best portable device at this price which is not only offering a massive memory but durability of the device. This product will be for a long time with you and you can surely use it carelessly and perfect fro travel and save your valuable data.

Mitashi has launched the WattaGirl Smartphone that will appeal to young girls. Mitashi WattaGirl can hold two SIM cards and a 1.2GHz Dual core processor powers the Smartphone. It is available at a price of Rs. 4,999 and also comes along with 3 changeable bright back panels.

Mitashi WattaGirl Features

WattaGirl is making use of an unknown dual core chipset which is clocked at 1.2GHz. Th e Smartphone runs Android Jelly Bean version 4.2 out of the box, which is quite outdated. Dual SIM cards can be inserted and the handset actually supports 3G. It is loaded with 512MB RAM, 4GB ROM and supports a micro SD card up to 32GB. Mitashi WattaGirl runs on a 5 inch screen with probably FWVGA resolution (resolution not yet confirmed).

The handset also comes packed with a 5MP camera packed on the rear and the front is packed with a VGA (0.3MP). The main features are Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS and Bluetooth. But, the specifications of the Smartphone are quite low end. Buying this Smartphone can be a bit problematic for the consumers.

Lava Mobiles have increased the number of handsets under their Fuel series by with the launch of Lava Iris Fuel 10 priced at Rs. 6,541 and Iris Fuel 25 priced at Rs. 5,666. Both the Smartphones run Android KitKat out of the box and are loaded with a 3000 mAh battery. A 1.3GHz quad core processor (MediaTek) running KitKat powers the Lava Iris Fuel 10. Lava has promised that there will be a Lollipop update for the same.

Lava Iris Fuel 10

Fuel 10 runs on a 4.5 inch screen with 854 x 480 (FWVGA) resolution. The handset comes packed with a RAM of 1GB, 8GB internal storage and the storage can be increased upto 32GB with MicroSD card support. Fuel 10 comes packed with a 2MP front camera and a 5MP auto focus camera on the rear. The major features of the Smartphone are 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. It is powered by a 3000 mAh battery. Lava Iris Fuel 10 can be availed for Rs. 6,541 along with a free flip cover.

The Lava Iris Fuel 25 comes at a lesser price due to the reason that it is powered by 1.2GHz dual core processor. This handset is running KitKat and comes packed with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage and also supports micro SD card. The handset will not get an update for Lollipop.
