So let us use this FreeCharge Android app to do a mobile recharge. So go to the Play store and search for FreeCharge or Click here. Then download the application. Before the download begins, it will ask for the App permissions. Then accept those permissions. The application then starts the download. The app is just having a size of 2.19 MB. So the size of the app is not a problem. You can use it flawlessly.
The app after getting installed, open it. The app is very fast. It will ask you to login from your google account to sign in or Sign In from your FreeCharge account. Then the app will ask to provide you options to Recharge your Prepaid Mobile, Postpaid Mobile, DTH or Data Card. You can choose any of them through the tabs. I wanted to recharge my Prepaid mobile so I used the default tab. Key in the mobile number on which you want to make the recharge.
Select the network operator. Then you can enter the amount of recharge. If you are not sure of the amount then you can check the Tariff Plans. The Tariff Plans for Vodafone were in very detail. I was able to choose from the Full Talk time offers to the 2G, 3G data plans. So you can choose the plan as per your convenience. I selected a 2G data plan of Rs.125. Then tap on “Recharge Mobile”. You will be taken to the screen where you can choose various coupons. This is the most exciting part of this small process. You can select the coupons which are equal to the recharge value.
There are various coupons of many brands for both online and offline retail. The coupons are classified into some categories. These include Food, Store, Care, Clothing, Travel, etc. The coupons are very lucrative. They include coupons of brands like McDonalds, PVR Cinemas, KFC, Barista, InfiBeam, Café Coffee Day and many more. Some of the coupons are paid and many of them are free. But the paid coupons are available for very very nominal cost. These coupons help you to get good discounts and save your hard earned money.

To know more about a coupon you can tap on the name of the coupon to get more details. Most of the coupons have a validity date. Choose the coupons as per your need. Then tap on “CONTINUE”. You can pay using Free Charge credits and also enter a Promo code if you have, to get discount. The FreeCharge credits is like a prepaid freecharge. Where in you can put in money in your freecharge account and then use it to do the payments without again and again paying using online bank accounts or putting in debit/credit card numbers.

I did paid from the freecharge credits. But if you don`t have any credits then tap on “Continue”. You will be asked to pay using online banking, debit card or a credit card. So many options to do the recharge which is very awesome. I used the freecharge credits and believe me that the recharge was done in a lightening speed.

Stopwatch was used and exactly 32 seconds were taken to do a successful recharge from opening the app to do the payment using the freecharge credits. That too was done on a 2G network with ease. Is`nt it cool to recharge a 2G data plan using a 2G network.
