GoPro, Inc. (formerly Woodman Labs, Inc) is an American corporation that develops, manufactures and markets high-definition personal cameras, often used in extreme action video photography. The cameras capture still photos and/or video in HD through a wide-angle lens and can be configured to work automatically with minimum intervention and/or remotely. The company was founded by Nick Woodman in 2002. His desire for a camera system that could capture the professional angles inspired the ‘GoPro’ name.
GoPro HERO4 Camera
They are known for being compact, lightweight, rugged, wearable or mountable in unusual places such as outside a quadcopter, planes, cars, boats, bicycle and motorcycle helmets or army tanks.GoPro has launched three new cameras. These are GoPro hero4 Black, GoPro Hero4 Silver and the GoPro Hero.
For now we actually know that the new GoPro friend will be available in two different specs: silver and black. The Silver Hero 4 unfortunately doesn’t offer 4K video at 30fps, but it delivers the professional video capture 4K at 15fps, 2.7K at 30fps, 1440p at 48fps, 1080p at 60fps, 960p at 100fps, and only 720p at 120fps.
The most important hallmark of Silver model is an LCD display on the back side, which will be absent in Black Edition version. Among other features, the GoPro Hero has improved audio recording capability, able to capture twice the dynamic range. Three different FOV settings can also be found, Ultra Wide, Medium, and Narrow. The usual photography controls are also there, ISO limit, exposure, and shutter speed.
the Hero 4 Black will be able to capture videos in 4K resolution at 30 frames per second, a nice increase from the Hero 3 Black’s 15 frames per second. With the substantial increase in the video capture frame rate, other resolutions will also be getting an increase in FPS. 2.7K resolution at 50fps, 1440p at 80fps, 1080p/960p/720p at 120 fps. 240fps for 720p resolution was previously rumored but it appears the cameras are incapable of doing that kind of frame rate.
A special ‘music’ edition of the camera will also be available. This will be identical to the standard version, but comes bundled with special mounts for attaching it to musical instruments, turntables, mic stands, and other equipment. GoPro Hero cameras are amazing because they have a waterproof casing with a flat lens for shooting under water (up to 130ft or 40m).
Built-in Wi-Fi module, Bluetooth, USB & HDMI are the only things that can bring you back home. The camera has the ability to capture static images during video recording and perform encoding H.264/ BP / MP / HP Level 5.1 and MJPEG.
