After a very long time by a request of a Technary Fan, we are putting up this review. People are now a days crazy about Panasonic and Cannon cameras. But Nikon is always a look to brand in the world of cameras. So we also did not forget about it. So why did we chose this camera. Well Technary only reviews quality products and this camera is also not an exception. Let us see the features of this camera.

The Black colored Nikon D7000 looks dashing. It has a sensor resolution of 16.2 Megapixel. The Sonsor is CMOS Type. The Optical Sensor Size is 15.6 x 23.6mm. The camera does have a sensor dust reduction. The field of view crop factor is stunning 1.5. It has a self cleaning sensor unit. The camera has a decent 11.1x optical zoom. Which is sufficient for close photography as well as to take good scenery shots.
The camera has an Exspeed 2 image processor with an optical stabilizer. The Auto focus includes a TTL contrast and phase detection. There are enormous number of Auto Focus Points which add up to stunning 39. This is one of the best characteristics of this DSLR camera. The Auto Area is AF and face priority has an AF function. The maximum video resolution is 1920 x 1080 which is great to watch the captured videos on your LCD Television set.

There are exposure modes which has i-TTL program Flash. Shooting Programs include a sports mode. There are special effects which include the color outline. The White balance Presets are incandescent. The Maximum Shutter speed is super fast 1/8000 seconds. Another plus point.
The min shutter speed is 30 seconds, which should had been lowered by the company. The exposure compensation is ±5 EV range, in 1/2 or 1/3 EV steps. The camera has a white balance bracketing. The X-sync Speed is enormous, 1/250 sec. The Expoure range is EV 0-2- (ISO 100). The lens is 18-200mm – f/3.5-5.6 G Nikon AF-S DX ED VR II. The flash modes include the rear curtain sync. Flash can be adjusted by the user as per the requirement. The shooting speed is 6 frames per second. The camera also has a self timer delay of 2 seconds. The flash terminal is a hot shoe. Scene Recognition System (SRS) is a plus for the camera.

The microphone is in mono operation mode. There are dual SD card slot. The camera has a Nikon ViewNX 2 software. While connecting to the computer it does require the MS Windows 7 and also a CD-ROM drive. The included accessories include the LCD display cover.
The Body is made up of Magnesium Alloy Material and also it is splashproof. The battery of the camera is Nikon EN-EL15. It is 1xLi-ion rechargeable battery which is included in the box. The user can use 2 SD card slots for using their SD Memory card. The Camera is 5.2 inch wide and have a depth of 3 inches. Also the height is 4.1 inch. The weight of the camera is 1.5 lbs.
The camera has a very important feature called as Image stabilizer. The Optical stabilization helps to prevent blur pictures. Even when you use high optical zoom or slow shutter speeds this camera`s image stabilizer works fine. A camera should take good pictures as expected by the user and this camera does the same. The camera is an all rounder DSLR. I do think that it is difficult for any company to provide so many quality features in the same price.
User Experience
This is Nikon`s first camera to record 1080p videos at 24fps. The camera will deliver clean photos upto ISO800. They are very good using the ISO 1,600 too. But if you go on to ISO 3,200 then I noticed that the shadows in the images were noisy. I had taken a photograph of my cousin standing alongside a tree. I liked the exposure and metering of the camera. Recently Nikon also released a firmware update which will overcome any problems.
But to be honest I had no problems as such in using the camera. The time of Power On and shoot or click the pic is almost negligible. It was splendidly fast. If you as a user like to play with auto focus, then there are many things which you can tweak in the auto focus modes. I also tried the 39 point focus, well only professional photographers will be able to bank on this feature. They know the importance of this and this camera delivers well.
Technary`s Verdict
This camera is unique in its own way. It has 2 SD card slots. Its strange too. The camera is not lightweight though. I liked the viewfinder, it is very easy to use. This is a great camera for experienced photographers which takes out amazing pictures. If you are looking out for a camera only for shooting videos then 60D will serve the cause. Nikon D7000 is a powerful camera to take awesome images. Its time to upgrade your DSLR. But it now for $1417
