Today we have the Kingston SSDNow KC380 60GB SSD to be reviewed. We at Technary are always excited to review the Kingston Products. The main reason is that the first product which we reviewed was of Kingston. It was none other than a Kingston DataTraveler.

What is SSD?

Solid State Drive(SSD)s are reliable upgrades for a system. It is a data storage device which has integrated circuit which assemblies memory to store the data persistently. They come in various sizes. They are portable and also known for easy backup solution. The performance of these SSDs are very good when you go for upgrade. They are a bit costly for sure.

Kingston SSDNow KC380 60GB

Design

At first glance you can notice the sticker of Kingston on the device. It is 5 mm thick an is having a weight of just 27 grams. The dimensions of the device are 7.8×0.5×5.4cm. The design is made well in standards of fitting the device in notebooks and in PCs. The lightweight device comes in a thin metal case.

As this device uses very less power so the heat generated in the drive is also less. The performance of the device is stable.

This SSD is powered by SandForce second generation SSD processor. So while you are using the system and doing your work, the device takes care of the data integrity. It is a very useful function as data integrity is a very important aspect for personal as well as corporate users. The SSD gives a proper boost in the output for sure.
