Lava International Ltd is Noida, India based mobile handset company which produces smartphones, tablets, feature phones and IT accessories. The company revealed its new low budget smartphone after launching the Iris X1, the Lava Flair E1.

The Flair E1 has a 3.5” TFT screen supporting 480×320 pixels resolution. A decent 1GHz single core processor is within this smartphone and is powered by a 1300 mAh battery which gives upto 3hrs of talktime on a single charge and 150hrs on stand-by. It has 256MB of RAM, 512MB ROM and expandable upto 32GB via a micro SD card is supported by the handset. The rear camera is 2MP and the front camera is 0.3MP VGA. There is a LED flash available for the rear camera.

The Flair E1 is dual SIM capable, but does not support 3G on either of the SIM cards. It runs Android v4.4.2 KitKat. Also, in the handset GPS is absent. Measuring 10.7mm in thickness, the device weighs about 120gms.

Lacking GPS, 3G and 4G, the Flair E1 is obviously not meant for people who rely on the mobile internet for a living or daily entertainment. Though being priced at a low Rs.2,749, the handset is a very low budget decent smartphone. The Lava Flair E1 is available in black-champagne and white-champagne variants.

YU Yuphoria is getting incremental OTA update

YU Yuphoria, the Micromax released phone is getting the CyanogenMod 12.1 OS update based on Android v5.1 Lollipop. Rahul Sharma, community manager at YU Televentures disclosed via an official blog post that Yuphoria is getting the latest update bearing software version no. YNG1TBS2P2. The new software will be sent via over-the-air notifications.

The update is about 38MB in size and has apparently fixed the heat up and the other issues being faced by the consumers. The update also nourishes the camera performance, fixes the proximity sensor and obviously, the well mentioned heat up problem. The camera will be producing sharper images and will also be more productive in less light. The proximity sensor will auto-calibrate after every reboot.

The CM 12 update also allows users to have a faster typing experience and fluid touch proficiency. The audio enhancements will also result in better bass quality and an overall decent audio experience. The dialer is also being upgraded which will enhance the overall handset experience.

The CyanogenMod update will reach all users in a little while in both the YU Yuphoria and the YU Yureka. YU Yureka will receive the CM 12.1 upgrade based on Android v4.4.2 KitKat.

The all new Cyanogen OS v12.1 based on Android v5.1 Lollipop is in the final testing stages and will be available to users by the end of this month or early July by the most.

Micromax, the Haryana, India headquartered IT company recently released their new family tablet, the Canvas Tabby which is available on Flipkart exclusively.

The Canvas Tabby comes with parental controls and a special Kids Mode, a meek interface which allows kids to use the tablet with ease. The tablet features the 1.3GHz dual-core Mediatek processor with Mali-400 GPU. A modest 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage and 32GB expandable are made available by the company. It sports a 7” TFT screen with a 1024 x 600 pixels resolution and a battery capacity of 3200mAh which provides 158hrs of battery backup.

Running Android v4.4 KitKat the tablet is dual SIM card capable but lacks in a good camera with 2MP rear camera, though with a LED flash and a 0.3MP front camera. The tablet can be used to make calls and is 3G capable too. It weighs about 306gms and comes with sensors such as accelerometer, light sensor and proximity sensor.

The Canvas Tabby is available on Flipkart for Rs.6,499 for a little while until it hits retail. The family tablet is proficient in maintaining two separate profiles, one for parents and the other for children which can hold information for upto three children. Their activities and development can be monitored on the device.

Infocus Corp. is an America based company, founded in 1986 and headquartered in the state of Oregon. The company has various electronic devices, mainly, LCD projectors, softwares, tablets and smartphones.

The Infocus M350 and M530 were supposed to be launched on the 18th of June, but the launch date has been forwarded to the 23rd of June. Both the handsets will be on sale on June 26th.

The M350 houses a 64-bit, 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek processor holds 2GB RAM and 16GB internal space with 64GB expandable. Both rear and front end cameras are 8MP each, also with a LED flash for the rear camera. A 5” capacitive touchscreen and a battery capacity of 2500 mAh has been made available to the users.

The handset runs Android v4.4.2 KitKat and also has a dual SIM feature. Though 3G and 4G are only available on the first SIM card. The device is about 10.6mm and weighs about 146gms.

The Infocus M350 will be available exclusively on Snapdeal from the 26th of June. Registrations have already begun. While there is no registrations needed to buy the M530. The M350 is priced at Rs. 7,999 and the M530 is up for Rs. 10,999. M350 is available in three colours, black, white and golden.

Xperia is a family of smartphones and tablets under which phones have been manufactured since 2008 while the first tablet was launched in 2011. Sony has hit the market with its selfie-focused smartphone, the amazing Xperia C4 Dual. The handset was announced on May, 2015.

The Xperia C4 Dual is equipped with ultra camera features. With the rear camera of 13MP, 4128 x 3096 pixels photos can be clicked. It comes with LED flash and an image sensor technology used in Sony cameras, Exmor RS which allows users to click amazing photos in any light. The front or the “selfie” camera is 5MP with Sony’s Exmor R and a soft LED flash. The front camera has a 25mm wide-angle lens with HDR and a whole range of camera apps.

The C4 Dual runs Android v5.0 Lollipop coupled with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and 128GB expandable memory. It houses the 1.7GHz MediaTek octa-core processor and Mali 760 GPU. The display is 5.5” supporting 1920×1080 pixels resolution and multi-touch upto 10 fingers. A 2600 mAh non-removable battery powers the C4 Dual which gives it about 12hrs of talk-time.

The Sony Xperia C4 Dual is 7.9mm and weighs around 147gms. The dual SIM card smartphone will be available in the market in three colors, black, white and mint. The C4 Dual will hit the stores soon for Rs. 24,490.
