Gionee Marathon M5 launched in China – 6020 mAh battery

Gionee came up with two new smartphones recently, the Elife E8 and Marathon M5. The Marathon M5’s key feature is its 6020 mAh battery.

Gionee’s Marathon series has a new member added to its family, the Marathon M5. The device gets its power from two 3010 mAh batteries. 6020 mAh battery strength coupled with Android v5.1 Lollipop. A 5.5” AMOLED capacitive touchscreen will support upto 1280×720 pixels. 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory is available with external support upto 64GB.

The Marathon M5 is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 1.3GHz quad-core processor. A 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera will give a decent photography experience. Features like 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth are also available. It has a dual SIM feature too with 4G and 3G available in both the SIM cards.

The handset is 8.5mm and weighs around 213gms. Also the smartphone has various battery optimization options that ensure maximum battery output.

The M5 is priced Yuan 2299 which approximates to around Rs.24,000. It comes in black, white and gold color options. Chances of the phone being launched in India are slim but not impossible.

Micromax is an Indian electronics company placed in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. After approximately 15 years into business, the company is now the tenth largest smartphone merchant in the world. Micromax recently came out with its new smartphone the successor of Canvas Fire 4, the Canvas Fire 3, weirdly. It is also known as the Canvas Fire A096.

The Canvas Fire 3 is a medium end smartphone with a 4.5” LCD multi-touch screen with a battery capacity of 1850mAh. Running Android v4.4 KitKat, the device houses a 1.3GHz quad-core processor running on MediaTek chipset. 1GB of RAM coupled with 8GB internal space. A rear camera of 5MP with LED flash and a 2MP front camera will make it easy to click good selfies.

The handset is 9mm thick and looks pretty sleek. It also has dual front speakers and connectivity options like Wi-fi, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth and also has a dual SIM feature. 4G is not supported and 3G is available only on the first SIM card. Sensors such as accelerometer, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor are also available.

The phone announced on June 2015 is available online at a price of Rs.6499 in gunmetal gray color.

FiiO X3 2nd Gen Portable Music Player launched Fiio is a Chinese electronics company based in Hong Kong. The Fiio X series is a line of portable music players. Recently Fiio came up with the X3 2nd Generation music player.

The X3 2nd Gen is a digital music device for audio fanatics which has a 2600 mAh battery which supposedly lasts about 11 hours. The device is capable of playing DSD, WAV, WMA, ALAC, FLAC, APE, AIFF, and more types of files. The device offers an audiophile grade architecture and the tantalum capacitors which provide the best and untainted sound.

A standard 3.5mm headphone jack is available. The UI proposes six different themes, to be visible on the 2” TFT display screen. To ease navigation audios are classified according to folders, artists, songs, albums, favourites and playlists.

The device’s framework is made of aluminum alloy and comes with a micro USB data cable which is used for charging as well, a 3.5mm adapter, a black silicone case, an extra screen guard while one is already applied on the player and a set of bodywork stickers. It also has a lot of exciting features, such as the last song can be resumed wherever it was if the power goes off, the hibernation features exists which will ensure minimal battery drain.

The X3 series is a selection of HD digital music players. The Fiio X3 2nd Gen announced in India is priced at Rs. 14,599 and will be available in online as well as retail stores shortly.

Intex is an Indian smartphones and IT accessories manufacturing company. India’s first Firefox OS running handset, the Intex Cloud FX was launched by the company in August 2014. Intex has come up with a new handset, the Intex Cloud Power Plus which offers a large battery life.

The new budget smartphone hits the market on May, 2015 competing with other huge battery phones like the Lenovo A5000 and Lava Iris Fuel 60. The large 4000mAh battery is probable to give a 17hrs talk time and 8hrs on 3G.

A 5” HD screen and a Mali T760-MP2 GPU is attached to the device. Powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor  the Power+ also highlights 2GB of RAM. The handset runs Android v5.0 Lollipop and comes with 16GB inbuilt storage and external expandable to 32GB via microSD. A 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera will give for a decent photographic experience.

The device is 8.6mm and weighs 156gms. The dual SIM feature phone has 3G enable in its first SIM card and not on the second. Sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, a gyroscope and a proximity sensor.

The Cloud Power Plus is exactly similar to the Intex Aqua Power Plus which also has a good battery life. The Power+ comes in black-sliver, champagne, black champagne and white champagne colours. The Cloud-series smartphone is priced at Rs. 8,599 and is available exclusively on Snapdeal.

Coolpad Dazen 1 and Dazen X7 launched for Rs. 6999 and Rs.17,999

Coolpad is a Chinese telecommunications company. It is the 3rd largest smartphone company in China and 6th largest worldwide. The company has recently come up with two of its new smartphones, the Dazen 1 and Dazen X7.

Both released in the month of May 2015, the two smartphones are more or less the same with little variance between them. The Dazen 1 has a battery capacity of 2500 mAh while X7 has a 2700 mAh battery powering it. Both have 2GB of RAM, while Dazen 1 lags behind the X7 in terms of ROM. Dazen 1 has 8GB of internal space while X7 has 16GB. Both have an equal expandable memory till 32GB.

The Dazen 1 comes with a capacitive 5” screen and runs Android 4.4 KitKat. It houses a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with a dual SIM capacity and an Adreno 306 GPU. It has a rear camera of 8MP and a front camera of 5MP. The device is 9.3mm and weighs just 155gms.

The Dazen X7 is a higher version of the Dazen 1. X7 holds the MediaTek MT6595M 1.7GHz octa-core processor and a 5.2” HD 1080p touchscreen with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It runs Android v4.4 KitKat and can hold two SIM cards with 4G LTE. The X7 has a rear camera of 13MP with dual LED flash and a front facing camera of 8MP with wide angle lens. The smartphone is 6.5mm and weighs 131gms

The Coolpad Dazen 1 and the Dazen X7 will be available exclusively on Snapdeal from June 9th for Rs. 6999 and Rs. 17,999 respectively. The X7 comes in champagne gold and titanium white and the Dazen 1 comes in moondust grey and baby snow white colours.
