Micromax has launched the new Micromax Yu handset also named Yureka. The handset is fantastic with an octa core powered snapdragon 615 chipset (64 bit). It runs on Cyanogen 11 out of the box. All of this is priced just for a whopping Rs. 8,999.

You can avail the new handset on Amazon.in, registration for the handset starts and the handset will be made available to customers from the 2nd week of the month of January 2015. It has the Snapdragon 615 64 bit octa core processor(MSM8939) which is clocked at 1.5GHz. It is with Adreno 405 GPU. The handset has a dual SIM feature and also lends support to 3G+4G technology. The handset runs Cyanogen 11 and has a 2GB RAM and has internal storage capacity of 16GB. A micro SD card with storage of upto 32 GB can be inserted.
The thickness of Yu Yureka is 8.8mm and also a rear camera of 13MP and a front camera of 5MP. The rear camera comes equipped with a SONY EXMOR CMOS sensor. The screen size is 5.5 inches. This phone has an IPS dispay with Corning Gorilla Glass3 protection. The screen resolution measures a great 1280 x 720 pixels. The main features of the handset are 2G, 3G, 4G, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It is powered by a 2500 mAh battery.
The handset is being launched at a price of Rs. 8,999. The handset comes with great hardware and also the price is quite reasonable for and Indian customer. The registration for the handset commences tomorrow and the handset will be delivered to you in January. The company has also specifically declared that the buyers can root the handset and they won’t lose the warranty.
