Micromax announced their new low-budget smartphone Canvas Spark Q380 with a 4.7” screen and 540×960 pixels resolution and gorilla glass 3 protection and weighing a light 134gms. It houses a quad core processor the 1.3GHz Cortex A7 MediaTek MT6582m and a Mali 400 GPU.

It comes with 8 gigs of internal space, 32 GB expandable coupled with 1 gigs of RAM. Spark also has an 8MP rear camera, autofocus enabled and with LED flash accompanied by a 2MP front camera. It runs Android version 5.0 Lolipop and also has a dual SIM feature.

Though 3G can only be used on the first SIM card, not on the second one. Extracting power from a Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery, it will provide a back-up of 7h talktime on 3G. It includes features like 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. Its frame is made of brushed metal copper. It runs throughout at the length of the edges, giving it a sleek look. An extremely low priced phone which includes Android v5.0, gorilla glass screen and a decent 8MP camera would not make for a bad deal after all.

Micromax Canvas Spark will be available exclusively on Snapdeal. Registrations have already started. The first flash sale will be on this month end, that is 29th April 2015. Available in white and black this handset is priced at a affordable Rs.4,999. For a low-budget, Canvas Spark is a really powerful phone with a decent camera and a good amount of memory. Its display is not as bright as the devices it has been pitched up against, like Moto E (2nd Gen) and Redmi 2.

Canvas Spark has taken on Moto E, Redmi 2 and Lenovo A7000, and since it is priced lower than all three, it might have a considerable advantage in the market. Even though its features are not as appealing as that of the high-end phones, it will make a good name for itself.
