A new smartphone from the company Micromax has been launched. This phone is the latest addition to the Micromax Canvas Series and this phone is priced at Rs.6,499. Let us have a look at the features of this smartphone and will also tell you our opinion about this device.
First of all this budget is for many people who just want a smartphone which should have all the basic features and also perform well in terms of camera for taking pictures. The phone is recently launched and we did’nt got a chance to review this device, though we thought of doing an overview of it.
This device is also known as per the model number Q462. So the phone is named as Micromax Canvas Lite 5 Q562 on e-commerce websites. So let us know more about this device.
Micromax Canvas 5 Lite Overview
Design
This is a Dual Sim smartphone. The phone is named Lite and also weighs 125g. The device has thickness of 11.75mm. The rear of the device looks premium as it seems to have a leather kind of finish. In the rear we can see the camera, there is a flash below it and the micromax logo which looks elegant.
On the front side we can see the earphone above the screen and the front camera. The Screen to body ratio seems to be good. There are 3 touch buttons below the display. These are Back, Home and Recent Apps button. The volume rocker buttons are on the right hand side of the device. The lock/power ON/OFF button is just below the Volume rocker buttons.
Display
The phone has 5 inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels of screen resolution. Nothing spectacular in the display but it will serve your purpose for sure.
Memory
The phone has 2GB of RAM and the device has 16GB of internal memory. The user gets 12GB of this 16GB memory available. There is no external microSD card support though. This device is powered by a 1 GHz MediaTek MT6735 Quad Core Processor along with Mali T720 GPU.
Software
It uses Android 5.1. Though we think that there should had been the latest OS of Marshmallow in this phone. Also a new Operating system has been launched.
Camera
The phone uses a 8MP rear camera with Auto Focus and Flash support. There is also a front camera of 5MP.
Connectivity
This phone has features like 2G, 3G, 4G, LTE, VoLTE, FM Radio, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and GPS.
Battery
The device has a battery capacity of 2000mAh. This is a removable battery.
Observation
The phone is priced at Rs.6,499 and it seems to be a decent buy. Though not that much impressive and value for money. Still camera seems to be good. You can order this phone right away from Snapdeal:
