Karbonn has launched its newest phone, the Karbonn Alfa A1240. The phone was launched for Rs. 4590, and faces competition from phones like Canvas Fire 2 A104, Lenovo A526, Lava Iris X1 Mini and Intex Aqua M5. The Alpha A120 is a dual-sim phone, running on a 1.3 GHz processor.

The Karbonn Alfa is powered by a formidable 3000 mAh battery, which offers up to 18 hours of talk time and up to 240 hours of standby time. It runs on a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor, with an unknown chipset which can be predicted to be Mediatek. The smartphone uses Android KitKat (v 4.4.2) out of the box. There is a 512 MB RAM, and an internal storage of 4 GB. For extra storage, there is a micoSD card slot with expandable storage up to 32 GB.
The A120 has a 4.5 inch IPS screen with a resolution of 854×480 pixel (FWVGA). The rear camera is 5 megapixels, equipped with LED flash, and the secondary camera is a VGA camera with 0.3 MP. The round-edged phone is available only blue, with the screen side of the phone in black.

The other key features of the phone include but are not limited to 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Along with various utility and leisure apps pre-installed, the Karbonn A120 supports 120 Indian languages.
Karbonn has made lower-range phones available to the Indian market since 2009, and with their newest launch, they stick by their motto of affordable smartphones. The Karbonn Alfa has been priced at Rs. 4590, and is available both online and with retailers. With its battery of 3000 mAh, promises to compete with the best low-range phones in the market.
