Pinterest have made a very nice update to their services. I was addicted to Pinterest when I started using it. But after a period of time it was very boring and no addictiveness. There should be some rewards to do that, otherwise it does not provoke you. Atleast it did`nt provoked me.
Pinterest adds place pins
So it is for sure that Pinterest is not only for fashion enthusiasts but for everyone. They are doing a lot of stuff. The new update will add place pins to the tablet title. Also the animated GIFs for android and iOS are the added advantage.
This place pins concept seems to get rocking for Pinterest. They launched this service originally in November on Web, they gor 1.5 million pins per day. Which is a very good amount. But if you compare there are total 5 million total article pins per day.
Till date there are 750 million place pins, which have been shared by the Pinterest users. The 2 million unique place boards are very nice in the network.Talking about the GIFs it was made in a superb hackathon contest. This contest was held privately inside Pinterest only. These are also called as Make-a-thons.
This will get familiar among various startups from now on. The coders made this awesome service overnight. The official pinterest engineering blog shows a lot of animated GIF integration. The feature of behind scenes is yet to come.
Guys, soon they are going to introduce promoted pins from advertisers. It seems that they also need to earn a lot of money from their userbase. Is it going to be still addictive? Is going to be the biggest question over time.
