Asus Zenfone Zoom mobile

At the event CES 2015 ASUS has launched its new camera-centric version of the Zenfone2 which is named as Asus Zenfone Zoom. While all the other features except primary camera the other features resemble that of the Zenfone 2 which was also launched the same day.The primary camera comes with complete laser autofocus, optical image stabilization,10-element lens and 3x optical zoom lens.Both the cameras i.e primary and the secondary camera can record 1080p videos.

With 1920 x 1080 pixels this smartphone makes an extraordinary impression.Gorilla Glass 3 with Oleophopic coating and 72% screen to body ratio is given. For the gamer enthusiasts this smartphone provides an Intel Atom Z3580 SOC 64-bit 2.3 GHz quad-core processor with PowerVR G6430 GPU and also comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop with new Zen UI.

The device provides 16 GB internal storage and a microSD slot for extension of storage space. The secondary camera is 5 MP 1080p video recording camera.The other connectivity options are 4G LTE Cat.4, Wi-Fi direct, Wi-Fi ac/b/g/n,Bluetooth v40 and GLONASS A-GPs.This device also provides 3.5mm headphone jack and micro USB v2.0 port .

Nokia Lumia has been taken into inspiration while designing the camera for this device where the Asus has used a larger camera sensor or a Xenon Flash.Gaming can be taken to the next level from this device through 4 GB RAM and 3000mAh battery for long hours duration of the device.The device is available in the market for $399 which when converted gives Rs 25,234.But the plans of launching this device in India has not been confirmed yet.

Videocon Telecom for Connect broadband gets A PAN India ISP license

Videocon Telecom which was known as Videocon Mobile Services formerly is an Indian cellular service provider which offers GSM mobile services in India.This company is headquartered in Gurgaon, Haryana. It is a subsidiary of Videocon Industries and changed its logo and rebranded from Videocon Mobile Services to Videocon Telecom on 19th september 2013.

Videocon Telecom for Connect broadband

The Department of Telecommunications ( DoT) has given the Videocon company a high note by granting a Unified License-ISP (Category-A) on January 6th 2015.This License will permit the company to provide Internet services all over the India which is already running Broadband services named “Connect Broadband” in Punjab which is the market leader in that particular state. Videocon Telecommunication would be the first ISP in Punjab to roll out FTTX services (Fiber To The Endpoint) in Punjab area where the services include Internet Leased Lines,hosted and cloud services,Point to Point Leased circuits and data networks through MPLS etc.

In order to roll out in 6 to 7 years of ISP services the company has planned to invest Rs 340 Cr with next 1 year where the investment includes cost of Network deployment and investment in Hot spots,ISP License etc.

By prioritizing roll out of ISP in operational mobility circles the company is aiming merits and benefits are synergy on its existing and strong sales and distribution Network,cost factor,infra structure and value addition for customers for its mobility subscribers ultimately by 4G off load to Wi-Fi. Videocon Telecom has a plan to start the ISP roll out with its existing GSM Mobility circles including Gujarat, Harayana, MP, Chattisgarh and then move to Metros by prioritizing its ISP roll out.

This handset comes with Android 4.3( will get KitKat update) and is available in the Reliance store for Rs 11,999.The Lava EG 932 which comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean which can be upgraded to KitKat has a 1.2 GHz Quad core processor and also has 5 inch screen with 960 x 540 pixel resolution.It weighs about 160 grams which is very light in weight and is 10.3mm thick is available in black color option.

The Lava EG 932 handset has very vivid features which contain 1GB RAM,4 GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot that supports up to 64 GB of external storage cards. With 5 MP camera on the rear side and VGA camera on the front this handset offers a great deal with the camera which comes with LED flash.

Whether the rear camera focus is auto focus or fixed focus is not specifically mentioned in the Reliance website.Additional features includes 3G, FM, Wi-Fi, 2G,Bluetooth and GPS connectivity.The Lava EG 932 gives talktime up to 4 hours on a single charge using 2000mAh Li-ion battery.

UC Browser now the best third-party mobile browser in the world – Statcounter Report

According to a research by the firm Statcounter, UC Browser has become the world’s biggest third party mobile browser with regard to the page view market share. The advancement has been prompted by its success in India and China, UC browser is now a step further in its faithfulness towards helping more and more consumers enjoy a suited and unrestricted experience of mobile internet.

UC Browser now the best third-party mobile browser in the world

The world’s No.1 third-party mobile browser states that when the end of 2014 was near, UC Browser achieved a market share of about 11.1%, attaining the 4^th position for most popular mobile browsers after the likes of Safari, Android Browser and Chrome. But, the difference between UC Browser and the other three is that UC Browser is not a default app on iOS and Android, which makes it the world’s biggest third party browser.

Market Share in India of 41.23%

The result from the Statcounter reveals that UC Browser caught 41.23% of total number of mobile browser usage in the country, a 9% raise from the previous year. With regard to the Daily Active User (DAU), UC Browser initiated a huge growth of approx 50% in the second half of the previous year that is, 2014. UC Browser has gathered loyalty and approval from millions of people across the country.

Is growing rapidly in the Top 10 populous developing countries

Apart from India and China, UC Browser is growing rapidly in other developing economies like Pakistan which is world’s sixth-most-populous. UC Browser has experienced the success there by bagging the first rank in the mobile browser category of the year 2014. Till the end of 2014, UC Browser had already bagged 29.07% market share in the country.

Growing rapidly in other countries as well

In the country of Indonesia, the market share of UC Browser has grown rapidly from 7% in the year 2013 to approx 20 %( 19.7%) till the end of 2014. In terms of page views (PV), UC Browser has attained more than triple growth, disclosed by its internal data tracker. This means that increasing number of users are accessing UC Browser constantly everyday. Recently, UC Browser has become the top browser app at Google Play Indonesia. In Nigeria, UC Browser accounts for 13.14% share in the total mobile browser usage and in Bangladesh it accounts for 18.48% share. It has become the second biggest mobile browser in both the countries.

In Russia, the monthly active users of UC Browser have tripled in 2014. Page views have increased by 125% in the country in the same time period; this is an indication towards their achievement in the country. Also, it has become the top app at Google Play Russia. In Brazil, monthly active users of UC Browser have doubled, and the page views have risen by approx 50%.

Becoming the most used access point for mobile internet, UC Browser is on a road to long-term growth drive across the world.
