Looks like someone new is joining the “TAB” race!!  Irrespective of the recognition the Apple iPad secured, Samsung introduced Samsung Galaxy Tab. With that, Sony Xperia sprang up, thus bringing Xperia Tablet into the picture. But with all these devices already in the market, Lenovo is introducing its Tab S8. Shouldn’t we applaud Lenovo for such a brave idea? But there is a lot more to be appreciated about the S8 tab other than that.

It is an 8 inch tablet with 1200×1920 pixel resolution. What seems brave is that, the tablet comes in bright colours of Canary Yellow, Blue, Ebony and white. Otherwise, the s8 looks like a close relative of the tabs we have known previously. We wouldn’t demand for a fashionably designed tab as long as it caters to our needs and that’s exactly how Lenovo is designed. It measures 210x124x7.9mm and weighs 299g. This sort of design would enable you to pick it up and stuff it in your travel bag or even otherwise would allow you to use it easily. On the whole it well built and you can consider it in par with the existing tabs.

DISPLAY:

The Tab is an 8 inch device with 283ppi in-plane switching (IPS) LCD. Irrespective of these numbers, denoting its size, the display looks quite appealing with impressive brightness levels. The device also houses an 8 megapixel auto focus camera and 1.6 MP camera which is on the front.

OPERATING SYSTEM – STORAGE – PERFORMANCE:

S8 is run on a customized version on Android 4.4 KitKat. It comes with a 2GB DDR3 RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. Upto 64BG cards are supported by the micro SD card slot. The Tab acquires its powers from 4290 mAh Li-ion battery. It renders 6 hours of talk time and about 395 hours of standby time. It comprises of sensors (Proximity, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensors) and has Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth connectivity.

While the majority of the devices use the Qualcomm snapdragon chip, the Lenovo uses quad-core 1.3GHz Intel Atom processor.
