Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 launched for Rs.11,999 and Rs.14,999

The Korean company, since its drop in smartphone sales, has been trying to give its users, something extra. The company has launched two new smartphones under J series of the Galaxy family.

The Galaxy J5 and J7 are 4G enabled and made for selfies. Both the smartphones have 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, both with a LED flash. The handsets are running Android v5.1 Lollipop. 1.5GB of RAM is available on both devices coupled with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor in the J5 and the 1.5GHz octa-core Exynos processor in J7.

The J5 sports a 5” HD display and is powered by a 2600mAh battery, while the J7 comes with a 5.5” display with a battery capacity of 3000mAh. Both support a resolution of 720×1280 pixels.

The J5 lags behind the J7 in terms of battery, display size and ROM. The J5 comes with 8GB of internal space while J7 comes with 16GB ROM, expandable memory upto 128GB via microSD in both of the handsets. The devices are 4G enabled and dual SIM capable. Though, 4G is available only on the first SIM card in both, J5 and J7.

The J5 is about 7.9mm thick and weighs 146gms. The J7 being lighter and thinner is 7.5mm thick and weighs only 141gms. Both smartphones are exclusive to Flipkart and are available on pre-order. The J5 is priced at Rs. 11,999 and will be in stock by 31st July and the J7 is priced at Rs. 14,999 and will be available by 6th August.

Black and white color variants are obtainable in both the handsets. The selfie focused smartphones by Samsung are hopefully going to pump up their sales.
