Toshiba, a japan based company has announced about their HDD SATA models. These Toshiba MG07ACA Series 14TB and 12TB HDD SATA models will be available on select Supermicro storage server platforms.
Toshiba MG07ACA Series 14TB1 and 12TB HDD SATA models
The new MG07ACA Series is having a 9 disk helium sealed design. It also provides power efficient capacity and storage density. This MG07ACA will feature both 14TB 9-disk and 12TB 8-disk models.
The device has mechanical design which provides better storage density as mentioned with low HDD operating power. This helps to get 40% improvement in maximum capacity and 50% better power efficiency over the 10TB HDD models.
