HCL Technologies appoints new CMO – Matt Preschern

Leadership always comes with responsibility.

A prominent globally acknowledged IT service provider HCL Technologies has recently announced its new Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Matt Preschern. Matt Preschern is expected to lead the corporate communications to drive demand, growth and value and marketing functions that includes sales enablement, global business and strategic marketing. Matt Preschern is a MBA graduate from Emory Universities’ Goizueta Business School that was born and educated in Austria. He moved to US in 1991, before which he spent a part of his childhood in Taipei.

Matt has over two decades of leadership experience in the field of marketing and strategic development as his key advantage for choosing him for this post. Before he joined HCL Technologies, Matt Preschern served the “Windstream” as Senior Vice President and Enterprise Chief Marketing Officer. He led overall Demand Generation, Digital Content marketing and Brand Management. He was also responsible for PR, industry-analyst relationship, pricing, channel, field marketing, product and solution marketing.

Matt Preschern has also held several leadership position of value before this. At IBM, he was the Vice-President of Marketing for North America Business Consulting Service organization. He had also played a key role in IBM’s Global “Smarter Planet” campaign. Early in his career, he developed “On Demand Business Adoption” model.

An enthusiastic Matt Preschern was quoting saying on context to his responsibility,

The iOS ‘Current’ has replaced the Google Play Newsstand on the Apple Play Store today. You’ll be urged to update to Newsstand, if you are using the Current app on your iOS gadget. The app allows a centralized place for reading articles from selective newspapers, magazines and websites.

The app also offers aid from hundreds of publishers that cover news, business, entertainment, sports and other fields, and you can also include in RSS feeds for all sites and blogs that do not have a devoted Newsstand page. It works on both iPad and iPhone but it has not yet been enhanced for iPhone 6.

You can explore different topics easily on the newsstand. You can check out different recipes of dishes in the food section of the app. You can also bookmark recipes to read later. You can explore different designs and fashion. You can read and explore all your magazines at a single place.

Ricoh Pro C7100X printer series launched

The American tech company, Ricoh has released its Pro C7100X series of digital color cut sheet. It is made ideally for small and medium sized graphic art businesses. It provides the fifth color station and additionally comes with white and clear ink stations. This gives it the advantage of producing high speed and flourishes the set of applications. It can print with the speed of 90 pages per minute (ppm).

Ricoh Pro C7100X series will be available from December 2014. It is made with the latest technology and is considered to be the cheapest printer that has this feature. The Senior Vice President of Marketing of Ricoh, Tim Velleck says:

“For too long, cost has been a barrier for small and mid-sized shops looking to expand their application portfolio. We surveyed our customers and they were very clear – they are looking for a more cost-effective, versatile route to delivering a broader range of output with effective color flexibility. And so we developed fifth-station solutions that addressed these needs. Now, they can enter new markets, deliver shorter runs and maintain the high quality their customers have come to expect, at a price point they can afford.”

With all these features, it can be used to print banners for businesses including sales, marketing and advertisements. Since it uses the fifth-station color technology, it has the power to print 80-90 A4 size pages per minute. It prints with the image quality of 1200x4800dpi and can support up to 360gsm Clipboard simplex and duplex.

With all this it also has an AC-transfer system and elastic fusing belt technology to heighten output. It also includes identification of the media unit to automatically determine the configuration suitable for multiple types of media which is not founded in the multimedia library.

Ricoh new LCT uses RSS vacuum cleaner with an option to allow large prints up to 27.5 inches in length. Moreover, it also has a fusing belt smoothing roller that helps address fuser burn on the fusing belt and extends a media library that allows users to adjust and to associate different parameters for substrate help to ensure the reliability and IQ. It supports the TCRU Ricoh program (formed customer replaceable units) allowing customers to replace parts of more than a dozen of increased availability.
