The semiconductor company MediaTek has launched a 5G integrated chip. This is the MediaTek Dimensity 800U Chip. Let us have a look at the features of this chip.
MediaTek Dimensity 800U Chip Features
This is the 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 800U chip. It will be soon be used in 5G smartphones in India. This announcement was made on the 2nd day of the India Mobile Congress 2020.
The U in the Dimensity 800U stands for Ultra connected. This is able to provide 5G SIM capabilities in the smartphones. This 5G integrated chip can provide download speeds upto 2.3GBps which is just amazing.
This MediaTek Dimensity 800U Chip is the most power efficient smartphone 5G modem design as per the brand. It has 5G-CA which is 2CC 5G carrier Aggregation. This chip is powered by an octa core CPU with ARM Cortex A76 cores clocking upto 2.4GHz.

It supports 120GHz FHD+ displays with high refresh rates which is helpful in better media streaming and smoother gaming. It also supports HDR10+ standard for better visual quality and the MediaTek MiraVision PQ engine with HDR optimization is helpful in many types of videos.
The chip has support for voice wake up and dual mic noise reduction technology which helps in lowering the standby power consumption of a voice assistant. This is helpful to get clear sound without any external noise. It has support for camera placement of upto 64MP cameras and quad camera capabilities too. The integrated ISP and APU helps to provide AI camera enhancing features.
This chip will be used in premium 5G smartphones which will be launched in January 2021.
