This MX5 router is the new Wi-Fi 6 mesh router launched in India. This is the first tri-band 801.11ax Wi-Fi router from Linksys. This device is compatible with other Velop mesh models as well. The device is able to get 4 times faster speeds and also load handling capacity is superb.
This device is based on the OFDMA(orthogonal frequency-division multiple access) technology. This helps to achieve low latency even in the high density environments. The device has coverage area of 3000 square feet and can be clubbed with other Linksys mesh systems as the Velop Tri-Band or Velop Dual Band.

It has 3 radios which include a single 2.4GHz and two 5GHz bands. There are 13 internal antennas for wider coverage. The device has MU-MIMO technology. There is also BSS technology which helps to get lesser interference from any nearby networks.
There are 5 gigabit ethernet port which includes single WAN port and 4 LAN ports. There is a single USB port in this device. It has Bluetooth 4.1 and does support the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands. The device has dimensions of 110 x 110 x 244mm. The weight of the device is 1.59kg. The device can be setup using a dedicated app on Android and iOS.
