These are two most talked about handsets from the LG company. Many people are looking to buy for the latter version but most of them are confused whether to buy the G4 or the predecessor. LG G3 vs LG G4 Features
Display
Well talking about the displays of both these devices, both the phones are having 5.5 inch display and both of them having the same 1440 x 2560 pixels of screen resolution. So certainly both have equal PPI which is 538 PPI. But there is a difference between the screen to body ratio. Surprisingly LG G3 is having a better screen to body ratio of 75.22% than that of the LG G4 72.46%.
To be honest both the smartphone`s display are equal and just because of better screen to body ratio, my choice will be LG G3 for this case.
Camera
This is a differentiator I can say. But a minute one. LG G3 is having a 13MP of rear camera with Dual LED flash. LG G4 is having a 16MP of rear camera with LED flash. The aperture size of LG G3 is F2.4 compared to that of LG G4 F1.8. There are more functions to the camera of the LG G4 for sure as it is having the shutter speed control. Also talking about the video recording capabilities, LG G4 is capable of capturing 720p videos at 60 fps as well. LG G3 can only capture 720p HD videos in 30fps.
Though both the rear cameras of the smartphones are able to capture 4K resolution of 3840×2160 pixels of video recording. When you talk about the front camera then there is a sure shot winner as the LG G3 is having only 2.1 MP of front camera. Where as the LG G4 is having 8MP of front camera.
LG G4 is the winner in the above feature for sure.
Memory
There is also a difference in hardware of both the devices. In LG G3 a Quad core processor is used which is of Qualcomm Snapdragon 801. Whereas in LG G4 there is use of Hexa Core processor which is of Qualcomm Snapdragon 808. Talking about GPU, LG G3 is having Adreno 330 and the LG G4 is having Adreno 418 of GPU. Both these smartphones are having 3GB of RAM and both the devices are having 32GB of in built storage.
Now here is the interesting thing which you cannot see in any other smartphone. Well LG G3 can have an external storage of upto 128GB using a microSD card. But in LG G4 you can have a massive external storage of upto 2048GB. This is something huge.
So in memory and hardware the winner is LG G4 for sure.
Battery
While comparing battery we not only talk about the battery capacity but also the battery performance. So both these smartphones are having battery capacity of 3000mAh. When we speak about performance, LG G3 performs well in providing that extra mileage in battery.
Final Conclusion
