LeEco company launched a couple of smartphones. This company is known for their LeTv former name. LeEco is a short from for the name Le Ecosystem. Let us have a look over the LeEco Le 1S features and our overview.

Display
This phone is having a 5.5 inch (13.97cm) display. It is having a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Which accounts to around 403 PPI (Pixels Per Inch). It is an IPS Full HD display. There is also an anti-fingerprint surface coating. So the user will be able to use gloves for operating the device. As a 5.5 inch display phone is known to be into the phablet category. So yes it is having a huge display.
Memory
This phone is powered by a 2.2 GHz MediaTek Helio X10 Octa core processor. This is a 64 bit processor which is accompanied with PowerVR G6200 700MHz GPU. This phone is having 3GB of RAM which is impressive at this price point. There is 32GB of internal memory which cannot be expanded. (There should had been an option to expand the memory as users love to keep good amount of data in their smartphones.)
Camera
This phone is having a 13MP rear PDAF(Phase Detection Autofocus) camera accompanies with single LED flash. It is using closed loop an VCM technology for super fast focusing speeds. The rear camera uses a Samsung ISOCELL technology and is accompanied with a blue glass infrared filter. A f2.0 aperture may help the user for clicking brighter and detailed photos.
As per the company the rear camera is able to capture 4K videos with 1080p. Also the rear camera offers 6X digital zoom. There is also a front camera of 5MP for clicking selfies. This front camera is also having a f2.0 aperture and having 85 degrees field of view. Though a 8MP front camera would have been a better proposition. As per the company this camera is capable of capturing at a rate of 0.09 seconds.
Software
The LeEco Le 1 is having Android 5.0 Lollipop. The phone is using a skin called as the eUI. There is no app drawer and all the icons appear on the home screens. Though an Android Marshmallow is what people look for. Also we believe that the company will soon provide upgrade option to the users.
Battery
This phone is having a battery capacity of 3000 mAh. This is a non removable Lithium Polymer battery. The phone is having a quick charge facility using the 24W charger, 3A cable and Type-C.
Multimedia
The phone uses Dolby, DTS sound enhancement technology. The video and music player supports various file formats.
Design
There are no bezel on the smartphone. It is a complete metal body structure. The phone has a 80.3 percent screen to body ratio as per the company. The volume rocker buttons and the power/lock buttons are on the right side of the device. The speakers are at the bottom of the device. This phone is having a weight of 169g. The dimensions of the device are 74.2 x 151.1 x 7.6 mm.
Connectivity
This is a dual SIM smartphone. Both these sim card slots are for GSM and they are able to support Micro SIM and Nano SIM. Other connectivity features include the GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, 3G and 4G. Sensors in the phone are Magnetometer, Compass, Gravity, Light, Proximity and Infrared sensor.
This phone is also having a fingerprint sensor with 6H hardness. The fingerprint sensor is located on the rear side of the device. It can be used for unlocking the device. There is a mirror surface which helps the phone to get unlocked in 0.15 seconds with 99.3% accuracy as claimed by the company. It can also be used for capturing photos in one touch.
In box accessories
The various accessories you will have apart from handset are Sim tray eject tool, USB Type C Charging cable, charging adapter and quick starter guide.
Final Verdict
A smartphone with these features at this price seems to be fine. Though there are smartphones available in the market with similar specifications at lower price if we don`t consider one or two attributes. We hope to use the phone ourselves and give you an in depth analysis and our opinion about this smartphone.
