The stage was set and Google SME heroes campaign launched in Pune at the JW Marriott(one of the finest hotels in Pune). Ofcourse the event was of the best search engine Google thinking to help the small medium businesses from India to succeed online. In this event a lot of plans of Google were announced. Google SMEHeroes launched
Google has launched the SME Heroes campaign with the CII to promote the SMBs to use online platform to market their business. They are also going to introduce a mobile app to help the SMBs online. According to a research by Zinnov there are 48 million small medium businesses in India. From these minimum 8 to 10 million SMBs can get benefitted from these campaigns by advertising online.
Google is giving the small medium enterprises a platform called as Google ADwords to showcase their business to the relevant search results to their business. The SMBs have been a huge source of income to Google from the very first day they introduced the Google Adwords. Now its time for Google to create a platform where it gives opportunities for all the SMEs to grow their business using Google.
Surprisingly among this crowd only 6 to 8% businesses have a website as per the survey. This is a very small amount and has a huge potential to grow. We at Technary got a great chance to attend this event where I was live tweeting about it.

In the event Google`s Suryanarayana Kodukulla who is the head of the SMB sales of Google India explained about how Google has helped SMBs. Also there was a very nice video of Zoroi Chocolates who got benefitted from Google. He said that Internet presence will always help any business.
At the event Sujith Haridas who is the Depuy Director General of CII said that Google SMEheroes is a tool which will transform your business. Some of the statistics revealed by him were that 36% of the exports from India are from SMEs. B2B business is getting a tremendous growth.

Also there were 5 finalists from pune in this smeheroes campaign which were announced at the event. The Racold company`s head of marketing Prashant Dhar said that they invest only 12% in digital and get 25-30% growth from it. So Google has been of a very use to their business and would love to increase the digital marketing budget year on year. He also talked about his company`s upcoming app from which users can buy their products.
The other finalists included Vivek Mathur of Giftease Technologies, Vishal Kittur of Sudha Enterprises, Bharat Oswal of Sanket Safety Equipments and SJ Gijare of CTR.
