This includes Policy Charging & Rules Function (PCRF), Policy Control Enforcement Function (PCEF) & Mobile Internet Gateway (MIG) for the clients, a Tier1 Middle Eastern service provider. Radisys’ T-40 standards-based, telecom-grade platform delivers enhanced dependability and greater accessibility that helps Mahindra Comviva to compile the entire MDP with PCEF, PCRF and MIG onto one system; this lessens the cost, power and footprint. Mahindra Comviva will exhibit the T-40 Ultra in Q4 2014.

One of the highest mobile penetration rates in the world are in the Middle Eastern region which is 97 percent. This is 19 points above the world average. Mobile operators in the region are bearing frequency range restrictions due to this giant volume of subscribers linked with bursting traffic demand.

To assist its Tier1 customer handle and monetize this traffic, Mahindra Comviva had to seek help from Radisys’ T-Series Ultra Platform to set up its MDP into the network. The T-Series Ultra Platform’s in-system load equalizing potential aided Mahindra Comviva to supply enhanced performance, added functionality and better processing of traffic to its clients.

G and PCRF have enabled a trio of gains for the network service providers: Manage. Optimize. Monetize (M.O.M). Mahindra Comviva’s PCEF aids operators to control and program business-critical and higher revenue traffic streams over non-critical traffic.

The MIG grants operators to better their whole data network capacity, effectiveness and performance by actively correcting the use  of network resources with real-time procedures based on a number of parameters like network, subscriber, congestion levels, usage context, etc.

With PCRF’s advanced real-time rating engine, operators can uncover revenue streams that have not yet been explored through service innovation, targeted and adaptable plans. Mahindra Comviva’s PCRF supplies real-time policies that aid productive billing management features, such as tiered plans and flexible services creation, to aid the providers monetize their services.

Devised for applications that require high-density and high-throughput performance, the T-40 Ultra supplies a fitting platform for telecom equipment manufacturers, and their mobile operator clients, to set up better performance virtualized data plane applications.

About the T-40 Series Ultra Platform

The T-40 Series Ultra incorporates more than one Terabit of switching capacity and the power to supply more than 288 Intel cores. This makes it the topmost performing Telco-grade platform for SDN/NFV applications. It is perfectly suitable for data plane applications, it supplies a 50 percent cost-per-bit decline over 10G systems and equips telecom equipment manufacturers with a new R&D model – Infrastructure-as-a-Service, which grants them to aim their limited resources totally on building their value-added application.

  • Fully tested and unified, ready to use, fastening time to market
  • Multi-core packet processors, 40G Ethernet switch devices, and greater capacity 40GbE uplinks reduces cost/bit by enhancing   density of system
  • Integrated Platform Management Software aids centralized updates of software, demonstrative abilities, and platform monitoring for decreased costs of service
  • Ordinary platform makes economies of scale better and aids multiple applications with one platform architecture
  • NEBS-ready, well redundant architecture wipe out  any single point of lack of success and aids five nines(99.999%) network uptime
