Yes the competition has been started. This time it is the Element14 design competition. This is a global competition. In which finalists will have to develop projects using the inductance to digital converter. The world`s first inductance-to-digital converter from Texas instruments` LDC1000.
Element14 design competition
The competition is very intense and 10 finalists have been selected. These finalists are representing 10 different countries from North America, Europe and Asia. From India, Arun Magesh has been selected as a finalist. His design proposal is a non-invasive device which measures the iron content in the blood. The implications will be for health and medical industries.

Best wishes to Arun Magesh from Technary to perform well and win the element14 design competition. The competition`s aim is to challenge design engineers to make innovative designs. These will be inductive sensing, contactless and magnet-free sensing technology. The sensors do convert the readings into digital information. This information can be shared online.
So this technology will have a significant implications for the Internet of Things. The winner of this competition will win a 128 GB iPad Air.
