Element14 has introduced a fully featured dual channel digital oscilloscope, BitScope Micro. The device has been exclusively launched for Raspberry Pi and is manufactured combinedly by BitScope Designs and element14.

The oscilloscope has a bandwidth of 20 MHz and can generate digital signals at 40 MSps. Unlike the old oscilloscopes which had only one functionality, this digital oscilloscope along with an eight channel logic analyzer has waveform generator, clock generator and spectrum analyser. It has a digital phosphor display which can generate frames at 20Hz.

BitScope Micro can be downloaded for free for Raspberry Pi, Linux, Windows and Macintosh. It comes with a USB cable and input terminators and has 10 mixed signal test clips. Also, the test probes have been made water resistant so as to avoid any risk. The macro mode” resolution of 12 bits has been used for both analogue channels and moreover, it provides an input impedence of 1M/10pF.

The BitScope Micro is priced at $149 and will be available only in selected countries like Europe, UK, North America and APAC.
