InFocus company is a US pioneer visual communication brand along with Foxconn which is the leader in consumer electronics manufacturing have come together to launch a new handset.

Recently they had unveiled the Turbo 5 in June and now that have launched the InFocus Snap 4 with 4 cameras. There are dual cameras on the front and dual cameras on the back. Making the InFocus Snap 4 as one of the India’s first handset with 4 cameras. Turbo 5 plus and InFocus Snap, both these devices were launched on 13th September and now they are going to be available for sale exclusively on Amazon India Site.

We got an opportunity to use this device for a few days. So here is our comprehensive observation and review of the InFocus Snap 4.

InFocus Snap 4 Review

Design

This device has a uni-body metal design. The phone looks stylish and seems to be of well built and sturdy when held in hand. The phone can be easily operated with one hand. We used the black color variant. The phone did look premium. In the first look attention goes to the front dual cameras of the phone.

On the rear side too there are dual cameras with LED flash and there is a fingerprint sensor. This fingerprint sensor is surrounded by a circular bezel which makes it look elegant for sure. Weight of the smartphone is 162g which is a standard one for this display size smartphone.

Lock/Power ON/OFF button is on the right side of the device whereas the volume rocker buttons are on the left side of the phone. Below the display we can see 3 touch buttons. These are the recent apps, Home and Back button. Below we can see the Loudspeaker grill, microUSB slot and the microphone. There is also another microphone on the top along with a 3.5mm standard jack for using earphones. Overall compact, sturdy and elegant design.

Display

The device has a 5.2 inch 2.5D curved display. It has an IPS capacitive touch and the phone has 1280 x 720 pixels of screen resolution. It accounts to 282.4 PPI(Pixels Per Inch). This is a very responsive HD display. Happy with the display in daylight operations too.

Camera

The phone has dual cameras on the rear. These are 13MP with 2.2 aperture and 8MP with 2.4 aperture with LED flash support. While there are 8MP and 8MP dual cameras on the front side of the smartphone with 2.2 aperture.

The pictures captured by the phone from the rear camera provide a 80 degree view and there is a wide angle for the front cameras which is 120 degree. So a good camera phone for landscape photography. You can see the camera samples and clarity of the pictures.

Memory & Performance

The phone is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek 6750N Octa Core Processor with 4GB RAM. It has massive 64 GB in-built memory. There is also a microSD card slot which supports upto 128GB microSD card. We played with multiple apps at a time. The phone did respond well. The device can be easily used for rigorous multi tasking without any issues.

Software

The device is using Android Nougat 7.0 Operating System. The User Interface is a customized one as per the company. There are all in-built Google Apps. Apart from these we found Amazon Shopping App and Amazon Prime video app for the user as in-built applications. Useful applications like Notes, sound recorder, calendar, clock, FM Radio are all helpful for the user.

Connectivity

It is a Dual SIM smartphone. It has Bluetooth, WiFi, 4G and a Fingerprint sensor in the connectivity options. The device is well capable in terms of call quality.

Accessories

Inside the box, it contains the handset, MicroUSB cable, charger, headphones, SIM card tray eject tool, Quick start guide and a warranty card.

Battery

This phone is powered by a 3000mAh battery capacity. This is enough for a normal use for more than a day with ease.

Final Verdict

The main highlight of this device are the dual camera setup on both sides. This is a great budget camera smartphone with good multi-tasking. We enjoyed our time using this device. This is a value for money smartphone if you like clicking loads of selfies and clicking photographs.

InFocus Snap 4 will be available for a price of Rs.11,999. The device will be available to buy from 12 pm onwards on 26th September, 2017 on Amazon India.
